Capture trend strength and direction changes using Moving Average Convergence Divergence.
Selected (1): ADANIENT
The MACD Momentum Engine combines trend-following properties with momentum oscillation by measuring the mathematical difference between two distinct moving average speeds alongside a smoothed signal line.
Buy signal executes when the MACD line crosses above the Signal line while histogram bars transition from negative to positive territory.
Sell signal triggers when the MACD line crosses back below the Signal line, or when predefined risk parameters (Stop Loss / Take Profit) are touched.
MACD momentum entries benefit from volume confirmation and fixed percentage stop losses to prevent drawdowns during false divergence traps.
The MACD Line is calculated as (12 Fast EMA - 26 Slow EMA). The Signal Line is a 9-period EMA of the MACD Line. The difference between the MACD Line and the Signal Line forms the MACD Histogram, which reflects rate-of-change acceleration.

| Parameter Name | Standard Default | Allowed Range | Performance Sensitivity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fast EMA Period | 12 | 5 - 30 | Controls the responsive component of the MACD divergence equation. |
| Slow EMA Period | 26 | 15 - 60 | Determines the baseline moving average against which divergence is evaluated. |
| Signal Smoothing Period | 9 | 3 - 20 | Regulates the sensitivity of the signal line crossover trigger. |
